Welcome to our new PhD student !

We are delighted to welcome Celina Rahmoune to our research team LENSIS as our newest PhD student.

“My name is Celina Rahmoune. I recently graduated from the Master Sciences des Matériaux et Nano-Objets of Sorbonne Université. I was eager to deepen my knowledge of materials science, and especially of functional materials such as ferroelectrics. This is why I chose to pursue a PhD at SPEC, LENSIS, CEA on the topic “Effect of gamma-ray irradiation on ferroelectric, hafnia-based, non-volatile memory for use in extreme environments”. This PhD projects aims at studying the effect of gamma ray exposure on the properties of hafnium oxide thin films and on the performances of hafnium oxide-based memories.  Techniques such as XRD, high-resolution microscopy and near-field microscopy will allow a structural analysis of the material, while XPS will be used to characterize its ferroelectric response during the ferroelectric switching. I am pleased to join the CEA for this project and look forward to meeting all my new colleagues.”
